In this time of year we think more about staying inside our houses and enjoy a warm family kitchen. But sometimes it is difficult to think of things to prepare for dinner night after night, especially when you try to use until you have on hand.
The potato is a staple winter diet of my family. They are inexpensive, easy to prepare, and are not so many different things you can do with them. Although my husband sometimes complains, "potatoes again? "When we were under some form one for dinner every night for a week, manage to find new and different ways of serving them. Personally, I never tired eating.
Potatoes are very versatile and can serve as a main dish or appetizer. They also freeze very well, so you can prepare their meals in advance and frozen for later use. A meal is easy to make a simple basic potato soup made of potatoes, onions, garlic, salt, pepper and milk or water. You can add flour to thicken it up if you want, or I add the cream of the cream mushrooms to give it a richer flavor. From there you can add what you want to create a meal your family are sure to enjoy. They often add clams for easy to make clam chowder, ham or bacon for corn and corn soup. There is no end to the possibilities that could be found. Served with homemade bread fresh, you can not beat the feeling of comfort of a bowl of soup with potatoes is a cold winter day.
Soup made from apple Land
3 tablespoons butter 1 cup chopped onion 2 cloves garlic, chopped 4 cups potatoes, peeled and diced 2 cans (21 oz) cream of chicken soup 2 cans mushroom soup, milk, salt and pepper
Melt the butter in a large saucepan. Add the onion and garlic and cook until tender. Add potatoes and just enough water to cover potatoes. Cook covered, until potatoes (Public Offering 15 to 20 minutes). In a medium bowl, combine soup and milk. Pour the mixture into the mixture soup of potatoes and mix. Heat, but do not boil. Season to taste.
Parmesan Casserole Potatoes
2 cups mashed potatoes 8 ounces cream cheese 2 eggs 1 small onion, chopped 2 tablespoons flour 1 / 4 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 / 4 cup dry bread crumbs, salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a small bowl, combine the Parmesan and bread crumbs and set aside. In a medium bowl, combine potato puree, cream cheese, eggs, onion and flour. Beat with a mixer at low speed until smooth. Beat on high speed until mixture is light and fluffy. Add salt and pepper. Pour the mixture into potatoes greased pan. Sprinkle with bread crumbs with the Parmesan cheese mixture. Bake for 35 minutes.

Get all the big fish. Fry in skillet with some oil until that cooked and golden. Remove from skillet and place in large serving platter. In same pan, pour 1 / 2 cup soy sauce, about 2 tablespoons to table brown sugar, wine, cooking spray or white wine (about 1 / 4 cup) butter, garlic, walnuts and green onions. Reduce heat to med sauce. Basically make a glaze. pour over fish and serve over white rice with steamed green beans and whole. So simple, so good.
